How to sign a PDF offline with Pro Desktop

   Sign in to your account, download the correct installer and enter the license key in the app while online.

   Open and sign

   Open a PDF up to 200 MB. Create or select your own signature, then position it and add any required date or text.

   Review and save

   Review the pages, save the signed PDF and check the output. You can return to it through local history.

What needs a connection?

Buying the license, downloading the installer and activating a computer require internet. Do those steps before travelling or entering a workspace with unreliable connectivity. Local signing, saved signatures, placement presets and photo background removal then run on the computer.

Optional OpenAI or Anthropic placement is different: it requires your API key and a connection, sends page images to the selected provider and may incur API charges. Leave it unused when your workflow must stay local.

Prepare a reusable signature

Type your name in one of the nine handwriting styles, draw with the pointer or import a photo. Save a named signature or a placement preset when you expect to reuse its appearance and position. A preset is an editing tool, not permission to sign another person’s name.

The bundled handwriting styles are Latin fonts. The Japanese interface font does not turn them into Japanese handwriting; draw or use an image for a handwritten Japanese signature.

Save and check the final PDF

Place the signature, add a date or text if needed and review every relevant page. Repeated elements keep the same relative position, so check that different page layouts do not put them over existing text. Save the signed PDF and open the output to confirm it looks right.

Local history helps you find completed work. It is not a cloud backup: keep a separate backup of important signed documents and signature packs.

Can I install it without internet?

Download the installer beforehand. First activation on the computer still needs a connection.

Does offline signing include background removal?

Yes. Pro Desktop bundles the photo background-removal model. Optional cloud AI placement is a separate online feature.

Sign in to the account used for purchase and open Desktop app. Your key, downloads and activated devices are available there.
