Sign a PDF on your Chromebook in four steps

    Click Choose file and pick your PDF from the Files app, or drag it onto the page. Documents in the Downloads folder load instantly and stay on the device.

    ChromeOS blurs local and Drive storage. A file in Downloads stays on the device; a file in a synced Drive folder is already in the cloud before you sign it. For confidential documents, work from Downloads, the signer itself never uploads anything either way.

    Many PDF apps on Chromebooks are Android apps running in a compatibility layer, with the same install-and-account friction as on a phone. The signer is a plain web page, ChromeOS's native habitat, and needs none of that.
